I recently spent a full week running Deepseek V4 Flash nearly constantly on Cline-Pass, and only reached 29% of my weekly usage. I think that massive run used less than 10% of my monthly usage, so even if the Deepseek price increase means a doubling or tripling of cost, I'd still never have hit the rate limit on Cline-Pass.

That massive run turned the content of 333 books about AI research into a single 765 page book, accessible by absolute beginners:

Be aware that Deepseek pricing is now doubled during peak hours, so for the East Coast USA where I am, that means avoid nighttime use. Specifically, prices are doubled during these periods:

9:00pm - midnight 2:00am - 6:00am

Said the other way, use Deepseek during the day:

6am - 9pm (and a little window midnight - 2am)

Be aware that Deepseek pricing is now doubled during peak hours, so for the East coast USA where I am, that means avoid nighttime use, specifically, prices are doubled during these periods:

9:00pm - midnight 2:00am - 6:00am

Said the other way, use Deepseek during the day:

6am - 9pm (and for a little window midnight - 2am)
